The questions we get on the phone, in writing.
- Why not just apply on gov.uk?
- You can — and it costs £16. We charge more because we check every application, fix what gov.uk would reject (low-res photos, mismatched names, expired passports), and chase replies. For families and business travel that's usually worth it.
- How long does it really take?
- The Home Office decides within minutes for most travellers. Our SLA covers the window from your upload to our submission. After that, the Home Office has its own (independent) processing time.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, until we file the application with the Home Office — typically within an hour of you uploading your details. After that, refunds depend on whether the application is approved or refused.
- What if my application is refused?
- The UK Home Office fee is non-recoverable once we've submitted, and our service fee covers the work we performed. We'll send you the Home Office's reason and explain whether to re-apply or pursue a visitor visa instead. Full terms are on the Refunds page.
- Is my data safe?
- Passports and photos live in EU-region object storage, encrypted at rest, and are deleted on request. We do not sell or share data with anyone other than the Home Office.
